Unsubscribe

The Unsubscribe section allows you to manage contacts who no longer wish to receive messages. By setting up an unsubscribe keyword in AutoReply, users can opt out automatically, ensuring compliance with WhatsApp policies and maintaining a positive user experience.

How It Works

Automatic Unsubscribe via Keyword

  • Set up a keyword (e.g., STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE) in AutoReply and mark it as an Unsubscribe Keyword.

  • When a user replies with this keyword, WhatsEra will automatically add their number to the Unsubscribe List.

  • Once unsubscribed, the user will not receive any future messages, including broadcasts, campaigns, or automation.

Manual Unsubscribe Management

  • If needed, you can manually add a contact to the Unsubscribe List.

  • This is useful if a user requests to be removed from communications via another channel (e.g., phone call, email, or in-person).

Re-subscribing a Contact

  • If you need to send messages to an unsubscribed contact again, you must first remove their number from the Unsubscribe List.

  • This action should only be taken with explicit user consent to comply with WhatsApp guidelines.

Important Notes & Technical Considerations

🔹 Recommended Unsubscribe Keywords: Use clear keywords like STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, REMOVE to ensure users understand how to opt out easily.

🔹 Permanent Block on Messaging: Once a user is in the Unsubscribe List, WhatsEra will not send them messages under any condition until they are removed manually.

🔹 Data Integrity: The Unsubscribe List ensures compliance with WhatsApp’s opt-out policies, preventing accidental messaging to uninterested users.

🔹 Preventing Accidental Unsubscribe: Avoid using unsubscribe keywords in general broadcasts or auto-replies, as it may lead to unintentional opt-outs.

By effectively managing unsubscribes, you can maintain high engagement rates, improve message deliverability, and avoid spam complaints on WhatsApp.
